SUMMARY: GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB
This position provides day-to-day and functional support to direct-to-consumer and eCommerce initiatives such as philosophy.com, business analytics, CRM, order management and consumer services along with associated touch points to legacy applications, including Oracle.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical business analyst support, including high-level and detailed requirements development, technology product development leadership for the following direct-to-consumer initiatives and focus areas:
- Multiple brand eCommerce site experiences, (including philosophy’s US and UK eCommerce sites, infomercial sites and other brands sites as required)
- Consumer relationship management (CRM), direct marketing and consumer insights
- Analytics capabilities across consumer websites, consumer behavior, order and payment management Multi-brand, multi-national, multi-distribution center (DC) order management (OMS)
Participate in ongoing development of eCommerce applications by to improve site functionality, efficiency and business processes. Includes the maintenance and upgrade of current modules and implementation of new modules through testing as required.
Consult with eCommerce team to analyze and understand needs, objectives, desired features, input and output requirements. Includes the design and development of reports and data queries using Oracle Discoverer & OBIEE, Coremetrics and raw data.
Provide end user instruction and support to resolve application issues and revise processes to correct repeated errors.
Advise on new solutions for E-Business applications integration and functionality activation. Understand the impact of process changes and be able to guide and document process definitions accordingly.
Analyze and solve complex problems, document requirements and functional design documents and provide guidance and instruction to users at all levels.
Ensure that documentation and SOPs related to eCommerce applications are created, maintained and shared.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; and 3-5 years well-rounded eCommerce background and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong problem solving, communication and organization skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Ability to understand and communicate business and eCommerce processes. Ability to handle multiple assignments and work well in a team environment. Strong technical writing ability a plus.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of:
· Solid working knowledge of eCommerce best practices, both customer front-end and operational back-end
· Demonstrated analytics ability via Coremetrics, Omniture, Google Analytics or other
· Oracle, WebSphere and/or Demandware application knowledge a plus
