The Business Analyst collaborates closely with customers (typically internal clients) in the Supply Chain Management space, gathering and modeling business data, business processes and other business rules in order to ensure alternatives have been carefully considered and that the chosen solution meets business objectives. Applies information protection standards, defines and designs application functional and user interface requirements, develops test cases and plans, runs system testing, conducts testing validation, leads the development of application documentation and end user training, and supports system implementations and stabilization.
Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:
Perform business analysis and systems analysis for enhancements and projects related to the JDE application. Gather and document business requirements, processes, and rules by collaborating with business partners and IT peers. Ensure alternatives have been carefully considered and the chosen alternative meets the business objective.
Design and coordinate the development and the implementation of new or enhanced functionality following common and/or global designs, standards, procedures, and best practices.
Manage and coordinate all system integration points for small to medium project requests. Manage scope and monitor spend versus the estimate.
Develop proper documentation such as Functional Specifications, Test Plans, Test Scripts, Configuration Scripts and Training Materials. Conduct end-user training as required.
Ensure projects follow IT (Information Technology) Quality Assurance and ITSM (IT Service Management) Change Management Methodologies and are SOX and IP (Information Protection) compliant.
Ensure proper turnover to the Application Operations (Production Support) Team which includes early involvement and transitional support.
Consult on Upstream business processes as they relate to the JDE application. Anticipate potential design risks and develop mitigation strategies in advance.
Support the Upstream Business Engagement Managers as necessary in framing JDE Upstream opportunities.
Provide Solution Consulting alternatives and estimates to meet business requirements.
Bachelor's degree - (preferably Business or Information Technology).
JD Edwards SCM module - functional experience.
Project design and deployment experience in the implementation of JDE SCM module.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
