You offer Excellent academic record and a degree from a leading business school
A minimum of three years of experience in similar roles in either a leading financial services institution, an investment bank, a private equity firm, or in strategic consulting
In-depth knowledge of either Private Banking or Investment Banking preferable
Outstanding analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills as well as a structured and results-driven approach
Ability to build relationships across a global organization, work independently, build trust and work efficiently with senior management
Practical, client-oriented and delivery-focused personality
Strong presentation, communication and persuasion skills
Excellent English speaking/writing skills, German is an advantage, but not required

The opportunity to work on a wide range of challenging strategy assignments. Specific responsibilities include:
Support senior management in the preparation of strategy workshops
Lead specific strategic initiatives and projects that promote the implementation of our long-term Group strategy
Proactively drive the design of analyses and tools to support strategy development and tracking
Provide periodical updates on divisional/business/regional level performance and strategy
Assist senior management with communicating our Group strategy – both internally and externally
Provide leadership to the team in achieving professional goals and providing room for growth
Work closely with M&A, Group Finance, divisional and regional CEOs, COOs and their strategy teams
Divisional Overview The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Division is a guardian of the bank’s financial
franchise. It provides information to stakeholders and optimizes financial
resources. Its departments maintain a control infrastructure and advise on how
resources can best be deployed to achieve strategy, provide clients with
capital, maximize shareholder value and respond to a changing competitive
and regulatory environment.
As part of the CFO division, Corporate Development acts as the group’s think
tank and assists senior management in defining long-term sources of
competitive advantage for the Credit Suisse Group. The two key areas of
Corporate Development are M&A and Group Strategy.
As part of the Corporate Development department, the Group Strategy team
assists Credit Suisse’s most senior leadership with strategy development and
strategy projects. The team consists of 8 professionals (5 in Zurich, 3 in New
York) and supports in the analysis, development, implementation and
monitoring of our Group strategy and is driving projects for specific strategic
initiatives that promote the implementation of our long-term Group strategy.
Taking advantage of a Group-wide perspective, the team focuses on crossdivisional
and cross-regional topics and contributes to Credit Suisse’s longterm
vision and strategy by working to monitor and continuously improve our
strategic positioning. The team’s objective is to support Credit Suisse
executing our client-focused and capital-efficient integrated bank strategy,
emphasizing complex client needs and value-creating businesses while
leveraging the global expertise of our divisions and regions.
Our responsibilities include:
development of group portfolio strategy to maximize shareholders
definition of business line strategies with divisional and regional
support of strategy implementation through transaction and special
design and implementation of best-in-class planning and budgeting
providing insight into market developments, group competitive
position and relative performance.
