The Business Development Executive will be responsible for strategically and tactically positioning financial products and services with a Major financial institution to include retail banking solutions, multichannel direct marketing and contact center solutions. Additionally, develop and strengthen business relationships, while prospecting new business opportunities. This position is U.S. remote / home office based.
Key Duties / Responsibilities

Responsible for identifying/uncovering the appropriate decision maker(s) within a major financial institution; establishes relationships with strategic decision makers, uncovering current and potential business needs of decision makers while positioning and selling non-checking and financial products as well as services. Strong focus directed to the selling of non-checking products.
- Generate, develop, and create ideas and business plans for new non-checking and financial products as well as services for a Major financial institution to increase and generate
revenue streams for Harland Clarke.
Understand and apply industry knowledge to Harland Clarke's and/or client financial drivers, business models, and competitive strategy. Must continue self-education on financial institution market, economic trends and the impact on financial institutions.
Communication & Contacts Required
Responsible for communicating at the executive level within a major financial institution
Will work with a major financial institution in prospecting and developing relationships to drive new non checking revenues.
This position requires a high amount of interpretation of information, judgment, creativity, and/or innovation to solve problems and determine courses of action in non-recurring, unique situations involving a wide variety of problems (opportunities) within the broadest limits of organizational policies and goals. A high amount of job discretion is necessary for effective performance.

Education & Knowledge Required
Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree in Business or Marketing preferable
Experience / Skills / Abilities Required
Ability to develop relationships at C and SVP level and "read" and access decision makers
Ability to sell services
2-5 years' experience in direct sale preferably in the Financial Institution Industry
Previous business development experience required with proven success in obtaining new mid and upper - tier level financial institution business
Excellent communication skills and ability to network at the executive level
Ability to determine what is important/applicable to the institution
Exceptional active listening skills
Ability to work under pressure or opposition such as deadlines and sales goals
Good Organization and Time Management Skills
Creativity in building Harland Clarke solutions to address prospect needs
Ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to travel 50-75%
