POSITION TITLE: Business Development Manager, Aftermarket Sales & Support

REPORTS TO: VP Aftermarket Sales & Support
This is a management position with primary focus on growth of top-line revenue and maximizing profit while also gaining market-share for Pro-Fit, E-Z-GO, Cushman, and Bad Boy parts & accessories.
This position requires managing a sales team, fostering customer engagement, developing new products, & analyzing market conditions & trends.
The position overseas a team of outside business development representatives responsible for a significant portion of the value stream’s revenue.
The position is also responsible for Pro-Fit brand management and financial performance with involvement in new product development, and initiatives to drive brand and category growth.
Duties are comprised of, but not limited to, development of product plans, forecasting, pricing research and analysis, account management with distribution channel, business development, and B2C projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES TO INCLUDE:
Prof-Fit Brand Management
Manage relationship with distributors of the Pro-Fit brand overseeing sales targets.
Must understand and influence P&L management, and identify risks and contingencies.
Maintain knowledge of trends and competitive activity relevant to the brand and industry.
Recommend new or revised approaches to the current plan.
Collaborate with Marketing and Product Development to provide features/benefits, establish cost targets, product pricing and initial forecast of new products.
Team up with Marketing Analyst to perform extensive market research and analysis of current products, new products and competitor products within the channel to identify opportunities for new product introduction based on market potential.
Grow and manage revenue for high-opportunity dealer/distributors through relationship selling, diagnosing needs, forecasting trends and continuous account profiling.
Retain existing business by developing solid relationships with dealer/distributor personnel via outbound calls or visits to minimize business attrition to competitive offerings.
Drive new business by understanding the current customer business model to determine how E-Z-GO P&A best meet existing customer needs.
Communicate weekly to leadership team within department of progress toward pre-set sales objectives.
Correspond with cross-functional managers in other departments any potential impact of market changes/trends, new product developments, & process changes which may have an effect on P&A sales.
Accurately document sales revenue and profits; provide projections of anticipated sales volume in the format specified within given time constraints.
Represent E-Z-GO in a variety of situations including sales calls, trade shows, sponsored events, etc.
Manage Business Development Sales Team
Successfully manage team of six sales people who are directly responsible for achieving sales objectives.
Partner with multiple internal departments to maintain on-going knowledge of marketing/sales programs & product changes.
Present this information to Business Development, Customer Service, & Management Teams during weekly meetings & conference calls.
Assist team in conducting competitive market research for new/existing products to understand features, benefits and current market pricing.
Use research for analysis and provide recommended actions to new product & management team.
Hold pre-scheduled team meetings to discuss: current business state with BDRs, process changes, new product offerings, & future sales promotions.
Report information to Director of Parts & Accessories minutes of these meetings.
Coach and develop direct reports to achieve maximum business results and develop organizations “bench strength”. Includes leadership and development of critical sales skills such as time and territory management, successful customer interactions, and strategic planning.
Grow Dealer Base
Handle inbound customer calls relating to order fulfillment, price quotes, parts availability, and status of existing order for assigned high-opportunity customer base as well as any other customers of E-Z-GO’s
Participate daily in actions with department & customers regarding pricing, price break quantities, kits, other parts or departmental process improvements meant to drive sales and improve overall departmental efficiencies.
Interface with other departments as necessary to resolve dealers/distributors problems with credit, billing, shipping, shortages, and returns.
Work collaboratively and proactively with other team members to achieve and exceed GDP goals and business objectives through continuous improvement.
Ensure that all sales related activities are conducted in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner.
Bachelor’s Degree with Management Major preferred
