Our current business plan coupled with significant increased customer demand has created the need for a Business Development Manager to support our growing staffing business on the west coast. The ideal candidate will possess sales experience within a technical staffing organization; preferably in engineering or IT.

  • Bachelor degree in Business or related
  • At least 5 years proven experience in engineering and IT staffing business development
  • Determined, persistent, and capable of adding new clients nationwide; able to face rejection and assess positive course of action to redirect efforts to exhaust all avenues and present best value and pricing to leads to win clients
  • Ideal candidate will have a proven record in penetrating new clients and talking to executive level customers
  • Demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm in carrying out responsibilities; possess a highly professional, friendly demeanor
  • Ability to manage client requirements; ensuring strong support for clients; driving overall client satisfaction
  • Experience selling contingent and/or permanent staffing services in the engineering, or IT fields; proven ability to convert client leads to successful employee placements within small to large companies
  • Knowledgeable in best methods to identify, contact, and market to decision makers
  • Proven history of ability to market services to targeted companies and obtain award of new job requisition and/or being added to vendor supplier list
  • Existing direct relationships with clients and managers
  • Results oriented; ability to plan week, month and quarter with proven results
  • Effective communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and apply skills
  • Excellent phone prospecting skills
  • Proactive and creative approach to customer solicitation
  • Strong customer service acumen
  • Excellent people skills and ability to be creative in gaining customer involvement/interaction
  • High-energy/engaging personality
  • Familiarity with human resources practices is highly desired
  • Self-motivated to succeed and grow in sales or account manager capacity within the staffing industry
