Salary: A minimum starting salary of $65,000 (219A) and a comprehensive and competitive fringe benefit package are provided.
The ideal candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience; Minimum of three years programming and analytical experience supporting computing users in a networked environment, including experience with relational databases, web applications and web based application programming; Functional and/or technical experience with the Banner Student Information System; Application development experience using SQL, C, HTML, Java, or similar programming languages; Experience as a developer using generalized report-writing tools; Must have the ability to analyze data and provide solutions to complex problems; Must be able to effectively present information, orally, electronically and in writing; Must have the ability to collaborate on a team with infrastructure specialists, database analysts and business analyst resources, and clearly communicate solutions to both technical and non-technical team members; An understanding of the security issues involved in maintaining and safeguarding institutional data; Basic knowledge of Windows 7, MS/Office, database management systems and Internet browsers; Development experience using Oracle RDBMS or other relational database systems; Experience serving the needs of a diverse population.

Delaware County Community College, a competency-based institution, committed to diversity invites applications for a Business Intelligence Analyst to assist in the implementation, customization, and utilization of a report writing tool that is being acquired by the Institution.
The Business Intelligence Analyst will work closely with academic and administrative divisions, the Office of Information Technology, and the Banner Application team to understand and meet reporting needs. The analyst will also be expected to train report writers and nontechnical users.in our Institutional Effectiveness Office .
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with the implementation, customization and maintenance of a newly acquired report-writing tool to be utilized across the College; Participate in project planning and prioritization. Consult with departments to review information and reporting needs and to develop a plan to meet those needs; Work collaboratively with the college community to analyze specifications and design reports from our Banner database and other data sources, utilizing a report writing tool and SQL Server; Collaborate with the Office of Information Technology to develop and maintain the technical architecture necessary for report writing; Collaborate with the Banner Application Team on defining an administering security for the report-writing tool; Design dashboard metrics, reports, performance charts and scorecards that assist with decision-making within different departments across the College; Develop, test, document, and train others on reports developed using a report writer; Set up and manage users, roles, and groups within a business intelligence system; Provide guidance and training on user authentication; Work with Data Custodians and Data Base Administrators, as needed, to manage changes; Take the initiative to find additional uses for data and reports that allow College departments to work more effectively and to support the College’s commitment to data-based decision making.
