The Business Manager is responsible for driving growth through key project initiatives, cross-functional team leadership, business strategy, and business analytics in order to hit long range plan growth targets for Food Service and Single Serve segments. The position will also be responsible for understanding marketplace trends for the Food Service and Single Serve segments.
Develop current and long-range business plans for the Food Service and Single Serve businesses. This includes both ready to eat and hot cereals
Manage and direct development of business initiatives to reflect current consumer insights, forecasts, future trends and deliver business/financial requirements.
Analyze business results to ensure strategies are working and objectives are being realized.
Lead cross-functional teams and support development and execution of both strategic and tactical plans.
Identify and prioritize issues/opportunities from both a consumer and customer standpoint and lead implementation.
Partner with R&D team on new products and with customer sales team on customer activation.
Coach and develop others to strengthen organizational capability and provide individual professional growth.
Establish clear objectives and identify strategic and tactical approaches to achieve them
Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing required. MBA a plus. Minimum 10 years of experience in the Consumer Products Industry including Product Marketing, Consumer Marketing, Food Service Marketing, Sales, Promotion, Market Analysis, Market Research, Budgeting and Financial Analysis.

Food Service Marketing experience is required. Sales experience a plus.
Relationships: Primary internal contact is with all levels of cross functional groups, including, Business Leadership Group, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Business and Trade Solutions, Operations, Supply Chain, Executives. Customer contact when warranted. Ability to effectively communicate and influence is critical to the success of this role.
Work Structure: Reports to Business Development Director – Private Label/Food Service/Military. Individual must be a self-starter, capable of operating at a high level of performance in an environment that is dynamic, constantly changing, and flexibly structured. Must be able to get work done through cross-functional team members.
