The Daymon Worldwide Fresh Business Manager will provide sales services, on behalf of its represented suppliers, to the customer and operating divisions through the development of new corporate brand items and programs. The individual is accountable for representing a group of suppliers that sell to the customer in specific categories.
This individual is assigned to categories in the Fresh department and is responsible for achieving private label sales and share growth in those categories on behalf of the Category Manager. The individual works in tandem with a number of Category Managers and is responsible for executing own brand and procurement strategies for the customer. Developing category reviews to measure performance and creating action plans are key elements of the position.
Build customer and supplier relationships needed to effectively position the business for growth.
Develop and manage strong working relationships with represented supplier partners
Develop and execute strategy for securing Daymon representation/revenue by presenting and selling Daymon services
Develop strategic and tactical plans to deliver against objectives.
Achieve budgeted sales and revenue targets
Drive profitable sales for our Supplier Partners through the implementation of effective sales strategies.
Effectively communicate benefits and product information of our Supplier Partner’s product offerings to Ahold merchandising. (Sell new corporate brand items and secure approval for Daymon represented suppliers for existing items)
Sell ads and displays
Conduct competitive retail audits, review retail price spreads vs. national brands and make retail pricing recommendations to ensure sales success.
Conduct structured business reviews on behalf of represented suppliers with customer to assess effectiveness, results and impact of sales programs.

Sell new distribution and maintain distribution of represented SKU's
Continually identify new business opportunities for Daymon Worldwide and developing new business leads.
Work closely with Daymon Director on agreed upon objectives.
Provide quantitative and qualitative weekly reporting of activities to include results on key initiatives, sales results, opportunities and item distribution.
Develop strategic and tactical plans to deliver against objectives as set by our Supplier Partners.
Achieve sales growth targets for represented categories
Maintain relationships with key suppliers for all issues: development, replenishment, product distribution, communication of sales opportunities, promotions etc.
Be the key contact for resolving issues with private label suppliers in their categories.
Analyze each private label perishables category for development opportunities (new items, merchandising, promotional, SKU rationalization) within framework of category plans for customer.
Bachelors Degree required.
Must have experience working within the supermarket industry.
FRESH/PRODUCE experience required.
Strong skills and knowledge of produce and produce merchandising
3 - 5 years sales and marketing experience strongly preferred.
Complete understanding of Category Management and or experience working for Consumer Packaged Goods preferred. Private Label business a plus.
