Human Services, Division
of Family and Children Services (DFCS), Business Operations
Specialist/CAPS Liaison in downtown Atlanta.

Under contractual obligations with Bright from the Start: Georgia
Department of Early Care and Learning (DECAL), our Business Operations
Specialist/CAPS Liaison will oversee the contract with DECAL and coordinate
communication; meet regularly with DECAL or as requested for the coordination
of information sharing/communication, issue resolution and service
support between the agencies; receive and disseminate information
from DECAL to the DHS Commissioner, state staff, regional/field staff
and county staff, and participate in relevant DECAL committees/workgroups.
Areas and activities of focus may include topics such as pending DHS
issues, trends and initiatives, DHS – DFCS policies and procedures
in the TANF, SNAP, Child Protective Services/Foster Care (CPS/FC)
programs, social media, audits and investigations.

Note:
The Business Operations Specialist /CAPS Liaison will maintain close
and routine interactions with various agency and/or community partners.
As such excellent corporate communication skills (demeanor/dress,
verbal, written) and a professional image are prerequisites .

Qualifications

This position is open to current and former DHS employees
who meet the below listed requirements

Our candidate will have a
Bachelors degree and 4 years Economic Support case management experience
of which 2 years were as a supervisor

or

A Masters degree and a combination of 2 years Economic Support experience
of which 1 year was as a supervisor

Note: Supervisory experience in a social services or health care environment
may be considered. Economic support case management experience is
mandatory. Candidates may be required to create/present a 5 minute
Power Point presentation on 'Interagency Coordination" as well
as complete a writing exercise (given at the conclusion of the interview)

Candidates invited to interview must be prepared to demonstrate competencies

in the following areas:
Networking and social media

Creating and managing databases

Corporate communication skills and the ability to communicate
effectively with various levels of staff, service providers, community
groups, and families

salary of up to $48,000 (depending upon experience
