Business Project Leader/Planner

06 Months (Contract to hire)

Project Management Activities:
· Assist in or lead various aspects of Shipping Information Systems project management.
Provide general project management and project coordination to include the following:
Coordinate with USPS customer to understand milestones and other vital aspects of project
· Develop schedules of project milestones, as well as team meetings
· Maintain schedules and perform impact analysis of schedule changes
· Contribute information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews
Prepare and complete action plans
· Implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards
Identify trends and process improvement
· Assist in implementing change
· Prepare, review, revise, and maintain technical documents, user documentation, release notes
· Coordinate with developers, business analysts, testers, and management to produce quality documentation and training materials for USPS external user community
· Coordinate responses to questions from USPS mailers regarding USPS Mailing rules and regulations
· Ensure team members understand the scope of the project as well as what they are individually responsible for.
· Coordinate team meetings, create agendas, and document minutes
Compile project reports
· Communicate relevant information to appropriate stakeholders/team members, such as change in schedule dates, changes in the project’s requirements, and unexpected schedule changes
· Maintain relationships and coordinate activities with vendors and suppliers
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated time management and multitasking skills to ensure that tasks are completed on time
· Excellent team motivation and leadership skills to ensure different groups of people to fulfill their responsibilities within a given time frame.
· Technically competent with various software programs to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
· Ability to perform both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Adaptability to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
· Reacts to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently and demonstrates adaptability to change
