The Business Sales & Development Department is a highly dynamic, collaborative, and entrepreneurial group within Williams-Sonoma, Inc. The scope of the department’s activity includes development of all business-to-business marketing and sales efforts of Williams-Sonoma, Inc., development of the Cultivate.com content and community website, as well as management of all gift card-related activity for the company. The Department oversees the Designer Marketplace program targeted to interior design professionals, as well as the Williams-Sonoma Professional Chef trade program. The department also manages relationships and sales with national home developers and the hospitality industry.
o Drive Social Media marketing plan for Designer Marketplace and Cultivate.com:
§ Publish content on Designer Marketplace and FYB portals
§ Drive and produce social media efforts across all programs, including Designer Marketplace, Cultivate, and Professional Chefs
§ Manage content and community growth for all channels including Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram; drive social media calendar and publish relevant content
§ Manage promotions and contests; schedule content posting via Wildfire social platform,
§ Conduct analyses and report insights on customer behavior; optimize content to drive increased engagement
§ Oversee and moderate all User-Generated activity on Cultivate customer forums
§ Manage and flag User Generated Content; Curate and edit professional project content on Photo Gallery; work with Content Manager to help select Kitchen of the Week
o Own and administer community management strategy and activities:
§ Monitor customer service requests, assist with professional account set up and verification questions
§ Curate user generated content, edit for inappropriate material
§ Monitor and help coordinate responses for Ask & Share for Cultivate
o Oversee Offers section on Cultivate, curate offers via affiliate interface (e.g., Commission Junction) and curate WSI promotions on Cultivate
o Manage Store Communications: Execute for all Business Sales programs (Design Trade, Chefs, International, Home Developer, Preferred Business) across all brands; update all Store Wide Web content
§ Drive Cultivate Social Media strategy and activities
o 3-5 years social media experience; Major consumer brand experience a strong plus.
o Very strong experience with managing company Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram accounts: ability to retrieve, summarize, and filter large amounts of data, and organize key data appropriately for management presentation. Solid knowledge of filtering, macros, pivot tables, sorting, and data tables. Data modeling experience a plus.
o Strong experience in Microsoft PowerPoint: ability to concisely summarize and visually present data and key findings. Solid knowledge of charting and graphs.
o Solid communicator and team player, with ability to manage tasks efficiently and independently; multi-tasking on a broad scope of projects.
o Bachelor’s Degree required
