Responsibilities

Leverage of business technology platform to achieve strategic objectives while delivering business value is the primary objective of Manufacturing Business Analyst
The primary activities of the position would include but are not necessary limited to:
Facilitate business process improvements; optimize business processes. The incumbent is tightly integrated to the business functional area, a key resource asset to the functional area making recommendations on how to leverage the business system and ensuring alignment with functional area strategic initiatives
Analysis of user data requirements to manage / run the business through the application of the appropriate business application selection
Training and delivery of business process enhancements to end users as appropriate
Complete identified business process improvement projects on time to schedule and budget coordinating resources as necessary for successful implementations

MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:Responsibilities of the Business Systems Analyst include:
Knowledgeable and experienced with business applications of Inventory Control, Inventory Planning, Work in Process, Bills of Material and Item Definitions, Purchasing and Supply Chain Planning, Logistics and Warehouse work process activities
Ensure Business System enhancement requests and programs align with divisional strategic initiatives
Coordinate and prioritize request for change
Gather and prepare the functional requirements for an enhancement project, work flow definitions and deliverables
Prepare project plans, ensure projects are completed on time per schedule and budget with required resources, guides configuration and development meet business requirements
Develops or guides instructional materials for business systems training.
Interact with Technology partners to clearly define expectations and requirements
Ability to perform Oracle systems set ups to implement new business and revise existing business processes
Participate on Emerson Process Management standards groups representing divisional interests and guiding best practices for standards.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE
Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering or Material Planning and Procurement field
3-5 years experience in business operations
Experience working with end users in a services business
Oracle, Noetix, Cognos knowledge are desirable
Knowledgeable and experienced with business applications of Inventory Control, Inventory Planning, Work in Process, Bills of Material and Item Definitions, Purchasing and Supply Chain Planning, Logistics and Warehouse work process activities
