In this role you will assist in performing strategic and tactical analysis, design, development, implementation, documentation, and technical and application support activities associated with established, new or revised business applications and their associated business processes and practices.

Depending on the candidate's job related skills and experience; we may hire an analyst I or II

Responsibilities:

Partner with department management and business stakeholders in support of system related decision analysis with strong emphasis on systems supporting contracts and compliance systems. Assist in the development, design, and maintenance of Calligo programming in support of insurance contract document generation. Contribute to the implementation of established systems best practices for divisional systems and processes. Participate in efforts to resolve issues within divisional applications.

Partner with peers to implement changes to achieve short and long-term business goals and investigate new uses of existing data and systems to achieve competitive advantage. Participates in project efforts and provides subject matter and application expertise and data to inform impact analyses for business and IT. Participate in implementation of systems, software, operating systems and hardware upgrades and modifications.

Participate in testing efforts, including but not limited to user acceptance, regression, function and system testing to ensure software performs to an appropriate level of satisfaction. Contribute to risk analysis, diagnosis of application related process deficiencies and/or problems solution, and resolution efforts. Participate in the development of test scripts, test cases.

Qualifications:

Business Systems Analyst I:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in the group insurance industry, preferably with knowledge in EB Contracts, Compliance, workflows and systems or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Basic/fundamental proficiency in one or more of the following: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Principals and Practices, Rummler Process Methodology, 7 Step Problem Solving.
Business Systems Analyst II:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems or related field.
  • Three to Five years of experience in the group insurance industry, preferably with knowledge in EB Contract, Compliance, workflows and systems or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant experience.
  • Basic/fundamental proficiency in one or more of the following: Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Principals and Practices, Rummler Process Methodology, 7 Step Problem Solving
