As a Business Systems Analyst (BSA) in Informatics & Analytics, you will be part of a world-class team of professionals in our Information Services group who partner with colleagues across the organization to oversee highly visible projects, manage change, and drive innovation. Your work will help to improve the lives of millions of people – our members, patients, and families across Michigan.
Instead of managing projects in organizational silos, our Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) manages enterprise-wide initiatives as a holistic portfolio. This model allows us to take a lean approach to strategic decision-making that affects every corner of the organization. Business stakeholders are engaged at the right levels to ensure that technical resources are working on the right things at the right time. Our EPMO is a fast-moving, collaborative, and inclusive environment with tremendous growth opportunities, both for your professional development and your career at Spectrum Health. We value creativity, change, and healthy skepticism about the status quo.
In general, you’ll be responsible for:
- managing the intake of various interesting and challenging project ideas that come into our system-wide Informatics & Analytics portfolio;
- working with our partners in the business to develop solutions that drive value in areas like clinical quality analytics, hospital operations, research, corporate finance, and others, and launching those initiatives – often with the support of a project manager;
- bringing together technical and business resources to develop project scope, requirements documentation, technical architecture, and high-level resource estimates; and
- understanding the architecture of our enterprise data warehouse, data models, the availability of data across our infrastructure, and many other technical details that will enable you to successfully facilitate project intake and launch.
