Responsible for developing, documenting, and adhering to the internal security procedures that will be used in conjunction with the Epic applications. Perform all procedures necessary to ensure the safety of information systems assets and to protect systems from intentional or inadvertent access or destruction.
Assist the Epic application teams & end users with Epic security requests. Independently utilize online & written materials as well as professional experience to provide the appropriate Epic security needs for end users & provide guidance to management on appropriate Epic user security. Actively investigate and pursue solutions that are outside the realm of previous experience. Manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrently.
Develop, document, and adhere to the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with Epic applications. Ensure that user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security. Conduct accurate evaluation of the level of security required. Provide management with status reports.
Troubleshoot problems and questions for Epic EPR, LWS and EMP records. Prioritize and implement changes for the system. Coordinate changes and updates of Epic EPR, LWS and EMP records with users and staff. Analyze new functionality in new releases to determine whether or how it should.
Review and test each new release & resolve any outstanding issues with Epic before users are permitted to access the new release. Adhere to standards for naming conventions & security classifications. Determine best practices and implement application-specifications to meet those best practices. Create new user record with appropriate security once training is complete. Participate in security work group. Understand application configuration in order to reflect organizational choices in application specifications.
Develop, document, and adhere to the internal procedures that will be used in conjunction with Epic applications. Perform training on Epic EPR records, LWS records and EMP records for UT Medicine staff as required. Function effectively as a team player who consistently meets expectations of internal and external customers while maintaining appropriate personal and professional interactions. Maintain strictest confidentiality. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field with 0-1 year in a business environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
Skilled in use of computer. Knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet, and database software. MS Visio and/or Access knowledge a plus. Basic project management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues list, manage project plan). Have excellent communication and follow-up skills. Ability to communicate effectively, written and verbal. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.
