Business Unit Finance Manager

The position will be responsible for providing analytical reporting; business insights & value add decision support to senior management of the Business Finance Office (BFO) organization in a team environment. Scope would include analytical leadership, reporting and support across all facets of financial indicators enterprise wide and to a level that the business needs, help in developing outsourcing cadence and enterprise storytelling

Responsibilities to include but not limited would be
· Using senior management vision, help develop analytical & reporting capabilities that will provide the ability to “tell the story” relevant to the business and enterprise – what the data means and how to use it
· Partner across the BFO to develop P&L reporting and become a key steward in help educating partners & driving for an integrated P&L reporting & mindset
· Coordinates across the BFO (specifically the CFO Groups) and F&A to provide consistent, accurate and timely delivery of financial data/information
· Develop actionable business performance metrics and integrate industry benchmarking data and trends
· Share keen insights that will help optimize planning, decision making, management of business and risks
· Help analyze data across multiple system platforms, create specialized databases and tools to further consolidate and manage data. Drive greater automation to enable more value added work with lesser resources
· Development, evolution and ownership of reporting tools such as OBI EE, customized essbase cubes and models
Qualifications
Qualifications
· Minimum 8 years of demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret and present complex data in simple terms. Strategic thinker who translates numbers into relevant insights
· Experience working in financial services industry particularly Retirement Services and Asset Management
· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Finance, Accounting or related field required. MBA required. CFA strongly preferred
· Proven track record working in a matrix organization supporting senior level management. Collaborative team player within the BFO and F&A
· Forward thinking orientations and insight with excellent strategic business and influence skills
· Strong experience in development of database, reporting functions and analytical tools
· Advanced user in the use of MS Excel (VBA), MS PowerPoint and Oracle applications such as OBI EE, Hyperion, Essbase/Smartview, PeopleSoft
· Deep understanding of financial modeling, financial statements and elements that drive those, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial information
· Superior skills to communicate clearly and effectively in writing or verbally
