Business Unit Finance Manager
Scope & Knowledge
The position will primarily focus on operational financial and accounting responsibilities within BFO supporting various Lines of businesses
Key responsibilities include
•Support annual plan/forecasting/budget process
•Monthly variance explanations and communications on close call meetings
•Journal entries and reconciliations
•Analyzing key business performance metrics
•Adhoc reporting and drive consistency across the organization
•Implement cost allocation methodologies
•Help develop and maintain financial reporting org structures
•Headcount/Contractor related tasks
•Implement best practices and process improvements
•Develop models / tools for early identification of financial trends for use across business segments. Make recommendations for resolution of problems, Maintain and improve current financial systems and models
•Minimum 8+ years of Financial Planning & Analysis and financial management reporting experience supporting a Technology organization required.
•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in Accounting, Finance or related field required. MBA or CPA strongly preferred
•Strong experience in PeopleSoft general ledger and Hyperion Planning / Essbase is a major plus
•Extensive experience in the use of MS Excel and PowerPoint
•Strong knowledge around compliance to GAAP and accrual accounting is required
•Deep understanding of financial modeling, financial statements and elements that drive those, with the ability to analyze and interpret complex financial information.
•Proven track record working in a matrix organization supporting senior level management
•Superior skills to communicate clearly and effectively in writing or verbally
