The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. Through these efforts, IT helps to improve the competitive position of Corning's businesses through IT enabled processes. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.

Scope of Position:
Work closely with Division Commercial Executives and Company Technology Leaders to formulate strategy, budgets and plans to meet overall Company Objectives. Lead CLS Commercial Systems technology projects, and ensure that projects are successfully completed. Drive the re-design and re-fresh of the Division Commercial Systems Platforms, as well as M&A System Consolidations. “Sense” technology market and introduce forward-thinking innovative concepts and prototypes. Report into Commercial, Collaboration and Web IT Director for Corning.

Day to Day Responsibilities:
Bring forward system innovations, business process standardization and show ownership: Drive the work of the Business Process leadership team in facilitating effective business transformation as it relates to the Sales and Marketing, Customer Care and Web systems. Drive global process standardization wherever possible. Seek out best practices and drive adoption throughout the global organization. Serve as the global gate keeper for any process/system changes. Maintain strong relationships with business clients within process area. Assist the Commercial IT Director as well Business Unit Director through being the central point of contact for governance entity in the assigned functional area; work with the regional business leads and Global Process Owners to ensure process integration and continuous improvement of processes. Work with Commercial Power User Network to assess business needs and communicate system and process changes. Integrate with members of the Sustaining Organization. Work with IT leadership to drive the annual IT initiative planning process. Maintain and develop applicable process cadence and procedures. Provide regular and accurate status reports to business leadership Travel Requirements (please note if international): 30% (could be international travel)

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree required/ Master's Degree preferred

Required Years and Area of Experience:
5-10 years (5 years of leadership/managerial experience)
