Business Value Strategist
We are seeking an entrepreneurial leader to work with customers and prospects on engagements to discover, unlock and validate business value created through the use of online peer-to-peer communities. You will work collaboratively with sales and account management teams to define account strategy and develop investment business cases within top prospect accounts and strategic install-base customers.
The ideal candidate is high-energy, consultative and intellectually curious, with a keen interest in social media’s impact on business. You will need a background developing ROI models, interpreting financial data and delivering executive-level presentations. Excellent computing and communications skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a team environment are a must. Experience in telecommunications, hi-tech, financial services and/or retail is helpful but not required.
Work with local account teams on building and extending current ROI models, detailed business cases, and lightweight execution plans for prospects and customers
Lead the development and delivery of executive-level business value and strategy presentations
Build and lead discovery workshops with customers focused on social technology
Educate sales team on appropriate positioning of strategic assessments within their account base
Provide feedback to product marketing on messaging and content
Work with services teams to ensure customer business objectives are understood and prioritized in implementation phases Essential Skills:
3-5 years of work experience in a sales specialist, value engineering, or value consulting role
Comfort with data analytics and data analytics tools (i.e Excel)
Experience engaging with Marketing, Customer Experience, and/or Customer Care/Service organisations
Experience understanding and interpreting corporate financial statements, business financial concepts and benchmarking data
Experience developing ROI frameworks and measurement methods, a business management understanding of statistics
Excellent communication skills and experience with public speaking
Knowledge of how social media and online communities function: personal adoption and use of social media, experience participating, managing, or facilitating an online community a plus.
Positive attitude, attention to detail and creative intelligence
