Primary Function
The Business and Reporting Developer gathers requirements and implements changes and improvements into the Cook reporting systems. This position defines and clarifies requirements, proposes and develops appropriate solutions, and provides feedback to the reporting team analysts and internal customers. The position is responsible for infrastructure changes, updates, and expansion of the current reporting systems.

Essential Job Functions/ Duties
• Design and development of Business Object Universe
• Design and implement Security (roles, positions, groups, etc)
• Write scripts and create data transformations
• Monitor global system to ensure accuracy & completeness
• Maintain, upgrade and rollout changes and improvements to system
• Deliver information in a ‘mobile-friendly’ environment
• Implement global processes and solutions into and from local areas
• Liaise with reporting team analysts to create efficiencies and ensure
data integrity
• Investigate and fix technical issues
• Identify when solutions should be report driven versus infrastructure
• Suggest solutions to reporting problems and needs
• Provide and manage project timelines for development/implementation
• Identify opportunities for self-service and educate on self-service
• Perform regular reviews of reports that are not ‘resource friendly’ and
make suggestions for improvements
• Analyze reporting service requests and define technical specifications
for efficient development
• Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others
throughout various levels of the global organization
• Must strictly adhere to safety requirements
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance
• Must maintain company quality and quantity standards
• Must have effective oral and written communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and
independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision
• Ability to remain calm and receptive in fast paced situations

Minimum Work Experience/ Educational Requirements
• B.S. in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other
related technical field; or experience of such kind and amount as to
provide a comparable background
• Minimum 3 years experience in BI development role
• MS SQL Server or Oracle database experience preferred
• SAP BI4 or related BI tool experience preferred
• Experience with SSIS or related ETL tools preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word)
• Experience in scripting (javascript preferred)

Physical Requirements/ Work Environement
• Works under general office conditions
• Sitting for long periods of time
• Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.
