• Coordinate spare parts planning, ordering and tracking – company demand and customer orders
• Manage and maintain MRP functionality for North America with an emphasis on inventory efficiency/reduction
• Input of material PR’s for replenishment
• Manage open orders related to inventoried materials, from creation through delivery including past due orders
• Coordinate and lead expediting of materials/components as needed
• Work closely with team to develop inbound/outbound shipment tracking
• Generate PO’s for refurbishment/repair orders
• Facilitate RGA coordination/negotiation with vendors
• Coordinate with engineering on PN identification, sourcing and ordering of TCI/EI parts
• Coordinate material delivery schedule to ensure efficient kitting in central DC
• Maintain preventative maintenance cycle scheduling for materials with OMS sites
• Work with vendors and departments to ensure timely processing of invoices and payments
• Conduct the timely and accurate review and processing of requisitions, quotes, and purchase orders
• Determine priority of requests and ensure proper documentation to support PO and contracts
• Obtain information from vendors relative to product, price, availability, service, and delivery date
• Visit, inspect, review, and qualify vendors sourcing materials and products. Perform sourcing and cost analysis
• Evaluate delivered cost to achieve optimum delivery terms and import location
• Monitor status of purchase order obligations including overdue, damaged, or incorrect goods received and initiate corrective action
• Work with departments, vendors, and customers in the implementation of ERP software
• Develop metrics to measure order fulfillment time and on-time delivery from vendors
• Time will be split between Elgin DC and the Chicago Corporate Office
• Other responsibilities as assigned


• Bachelor’s degree in business, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years’ of experience in purchasing / planning
• Demonstrated experience with ERP systems, SAP experience preferred.
• Knowledge of APICS or equivalent standards and related practices
• Demonstrated knowledge of global sourcing practices
• Able to interpret written policies
• Experience in import / export logistics
• Experience providing a high level of customer service in a constantly changing and complex environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, analytical, and organizational skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel overnight to domestic and international locations approximately 10% of each week/month/year
