Buyer / Planner - Apparel
Manage Apparel & Accessories merchandise buys each season to the SKU level (by unit, style, color & size) to achieve the forecast and inventory objectives. Responsible for tracking product status, analyzing current forecast of seasonal demand, drawing conclusions, and communicating relevant issues to the organization.
· Must be able to sit for extended periods of time.
· Must be able to use a computer keyboard and view a monitor for extended periods of time.
Duties and Responsibilities
This role will work with Sales and Product Management to create and maintain seasonal forecasts in the system. This role will create, maintain and process purchase orders from start to finish. Purchase requirements will be driven from forecast within the ERP system. The role will manage purchased sample requirements from Product Management team as seasonal apparel line is being developed.
Responsible to maintain targeted inventory levels through the challenges of continuous growth, seasonality of items and widely varying lead-times from domestic and international vendors. Responsible for on-time delivery, supplier scorecards, and clear communication with all vendors. Work closely with vendors to establish relationships, negotiate problems, etc.
Responsible for item master set up and maintenance in the system. Manage quality and flow of all purchased Apparel & Accessories items through the purchase /production process. Problem solve with vendors when issues arise. Manage calendar of forecasts, deadlines and planning periods as it relates to the product line, working closely with Product Development team.
Assist, manage and complete projects for inventory, catalog, website and sales team by working closely with Product management team. This would include purchasing and tracking of photo shoot samples, special samples for lifestyle photography and special inventory purchasing for a future B to C website

Contributes to the success of company by leading or assisting with other projects and tasks as assigned.
Bachelors degree in Business or related field. 3-5 years minimum experience in apparel related company is a must. Basic office skills required. Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook. Motivation, flexibility and detail orientation are needed to meet the demands of a fast paced and passionate working environment. Performing work independently on a large volume of simultaneous projects as needed. Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience with SAP ERP system is desired. Experience with Demand Solution or other planning tool beneficial.
