Location: Princeton Technology Center, NJ

This is a 6-month contractor position, with the possibility of being extended further

Position Purpose:

Prepares and maintains engineering project design layouts, production drawings and other related documentation per ANSI/ standards completely and accurately considering methods of manufacture, tolerance, and their effect on related parts.

Prepares and maintains complex mechanical engineering product/production drawings and other related documentation from layouts, sketches, or verbal instruction using Pro/E and the associated PDM system on a consistent and competent basis
Prepares original average complexity mechanical engineering product design layouts of using Pro/E under close direction of the project engineer on a consistent and competent basis.
Maintains accurate status reports on all projects assigned.
Effectively coordinates with interfacing personnel and/or groups, and provides timely updates to the group supervisor
Successfully complete required safety training (including but not limited to drugs and alcohol, electrical, emergency response, fire, first aid, health and hygiene, PPE, SIPP, risk reporting, IT security, hazardous materials, driving)?

Proficient (5,000 hours or more) in solid modeling on ProEngineer Wildfire 5.0 or higher (CREO preferred)
Possesses an understanding of machine part manufacturing processes and techniques
Must be able to conduct tolerance studies and be experienced in designing tight toleranced machine parts
Must be able to work with bill of materials and assembly process for machine designs
Possesses understanding of ANSI, GD&T drafting methods, standards and procedures


Education: High school graduate with two-year technical school certificate in mechanical CAD drafting is preferred (certificate may be substituted for two years on-the-job experience)
