The Pharmacy Technician is accountable for facilitating responsible provision of pharmacy services through the performance of hospital pharmacy functions, such as processing orders, maintaining patient profiles and various medication delivery systems.

Qualifications

6 or more months of on-the-job training in a retail pharmacy or 2 months in a hospital pharmacy.

Knowledge of the department's policies and guidelines, medical terminology and drug product nomenclature.

Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as a Certified Technician at the time of hire.

Strong pharmaceutical background and knowledge pf products preferred.

Ability to prioritize and plan ahead. Multitask. Work independently. Flexible and approachable.

Ability to read, write, speak English.

PAY: $11.57-$17.83
