L-3 STRATIS is looking for
Disaster Recovery Specialist (DR Journeyman)
support a team of professionals responsible for Air Force National Capital Region (AFNCR) Information Technology support to the US Air Force at
the Pentagon, multiple sites in Northern Virginia, Maryland, and the DC region. *** Contingent upon Contract Award***
Individual supports contingency planning for the reconstitution and recovery of AFNCR IT systems and data in support of mission essential operations at the primary work locations and designated relocation sites. Individual develops exercises, both physical and virtual, to implement and test the disaster recovery plan on a recurring basis in support of AFDW, HAF, and Joint Staff functions. Based on the results of the exercises, the individual improves/revises the plan as necessary.
The current customer base includes over 17,000 personnel, with hardware and software located at over 23 sites spread across the National Capital Region, which includes HAF, OSD, JS and other related agencies within a 300 mile radius.
Top Secret clearance
4+ years experience in a related area
Ability to work with and communicate clearly with senior military and civilian personnel
BS/BA degree or an additional 2 years of relevant experience
Travel across NCR is required
Demonstrated ability to work in a high paced environment
Prior military or civil service a plus
Demonstrated team player attitude
