Support Senior Analyst(s) and Equity Research professionals at JPMorgan Securities LLC. The Role is located in New York. Candidate should be able to perform all duties of an administrative assistant including but not limited to, being the first point of contact for both internal and external clients. Handle a high volume of phone calls, complex travel arrangements, extensive calendar management, prepare expenses in multiple currencies and very busy workload. Accurate maintenance of files and records and preparation of marketing handouts is essential. Develop and maintain a detailed knowledge of Research's products, people, policies and procedures. The duties and tasks are varied and complex, requiring judgment and experience to successfully accomplish them with limited direct supervision. The ideal candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, discrete, efficient, resourceful, and detail oriented. In addition, candidates should be motivated, flexible, approachable, diligent, and should possess a "can do" attitude. This role requires someone who is a committed team player, proactive, helpful, and who can anticipate and solve problems and can communicate well. Hours 8:00 am — 5:00 pm EST (plus the willingness to work overtime as needed).
Excellent technical skills required: Microsoft Office - Proficient in Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical skills.
Advanced ability to work independently.
Ability to understand and correctly implement Americas Equity Research policies & procedures including travel and entertainment pre-approvals and submissions.
Organize and demonstrate initiative - must be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
Solution oriented, resourceful and proactive with a strong sense of responsibility and "ownership"; Quick learner and creative problem solver.
Ability to handle complicated travel itineraries (unique trips, cars, etc.) and timely expense report submissions in multiple currencies.
Ability to multi-task; Team oriented, flexible and adaptable; Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
The ability to accept, and act upon feedback.
Significant exposure to internal clients at many levels from Analysts to CEOs and Senior Management levels. Also exposure to diverse external clients (understanding of the firm's account focus list).
Responsibility for the safeguarding of confidential information, whether it is information entrusted by our customers, information regarding JPMorgan Chase's businesses and activities, or information about other employees.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent telephone etiquette, including appropriately handling calls from CEOs and CFOs of major companies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal & written).
Ability to work overtime, if required.
Bachelors Degree preferred.
Previous experience with a top-tier investment bank, securities or law firm preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of administrative assistant experience.
