The Basel Committee on Banking Supervision (BCBS) is a consortium of global regulators who have set forth principles related to Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting.
Credit Risk Management has a key role in defining work needed to ensure success against the principles for Wholesale Credit (includes CIB, CB, GWM, Business Banking and CTC).
This project role is a high profile, highly visible and exciting firmwide project to work with Risk Reporting, Credit Risk Middle Office, and Risk Technology to define, execute and complete work required to ensure compliance with the principles.
The project is sponsored by and has visibility to senior management within Risk, Technology, Operations, and all relevant Lines of Business.
Role & Responsibilities:
Drive the agenda for Wholesale Credit, providing feedback and insight into our processes and best practices to our partners in Risk Technology and Operations
Ensure project goals are clear and are easily mapped to BCBS requirements
Work with Risk Technology, Risk Reporting and Operations to agree sequence and priority
Ensure SME resources are identified and available to contribute to business requirements
Manage and track progress, raise any concerns about potential issues/delays quickly and frequently
Stakeholder reporting and presentation of Scorecards
Ensure success criteria is tracked to ensure the program has delivered the anticipated benefit
Ensure key milestones are met and interdependencies are known and managed accordingly

BA / BS degree required
Thoughtful analytical skills; able to develop, and clearly present drawn conclusions and potential solutions
- Candidates should have some accounting and corporate finance coursework, and experience in a Credit Risk role.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills.
Strong project management skills
- Good judgment, maturity and poise to enable interaction/influencing of senior level staff
Self-starter and team player
- Ability to multi-task and execute on a variety of deliverables
- Must be able to work well under pressure on teams in a demanding environment
- Disciplined approach to managing processes and controls
