The CIB (Corporate Investment Bank) Finance and Business Manager position is responsible for and supports the Markets and Investor Services Technology groups within the CIB Finance & Business Management group. The group is service-orientated and comprised of individuals with knowledge and expertise in understanding and managing delivery of major strategic business programs along with financial information. The group is also dedicated to adding value and improving efficiency, quality, and providing financial information to Product, Operations and Technology.
Business Managers are responsible for ensuring their project teams achieve their defined project objectives within budget and on time. They are expected to support the business units in the selection, approval, initiation and planning of new projects, as well as budgeting, planning, controlling and reporting for ongoing projects. The position requires a solid understanding of project management methodologies, an understanding of the products and services provided by Markets and Investor Services business, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
The Senior Program Delivery Manager position is a cross-functional and cross-business lines role that supports all of the Business Mangers and their respective Chief Technology Officers (CTOs). The Senior Program Delivery Manager is responsible to provide overall framework and structure to document, track and report on strategic projects across JP Morgan Markets and Investor Services Technology, among other critically strategic initiatives.
Help derive the Strategic vision of the Target State Operating Model:
Identify areas for process improvement opportunity across the CIB F&BM Tech organization and make recommendations (i.e., cross teams communication process, planning, location strategy- current vs. target operating models, etc).
Re-engineer current reporting processes for efficiency and more value-added intelligence around Financials, Program Delivery, Headcount,
Corporate reporting, Allocated Business View, Business Drivers & Metrics, Unit Costing
Create governance model and define best practices for key initiative delivery including technology portfolio program milestone reporting with a focus on overall business unit performance against strategic objectives
Prepare Executive Level Presentations on strategy, budget, project delivery, controls, risks.
Provide Senior Managers proper management reporting, communication and client reporting, focusing on the overall business unit performance against objectives. Proactively highlight issues and risks to the objectives, derive solutions and drive remedies to completion.
Assist in driving overall strategic agendas for the Business Managers and participate in the prioritization process.
Close partner to the Senior Business Managers and business aligned technology leads.
Partner with other cross CTO business managers to incorporate and agree best practices.
Build strong relationships with central accounting, P&A, CTOs/CBTs to manage:
Monthly & Quarterly Financial and Business Reporting Process - includes Executive Management Reporting
Track and communicate status and achievements of technology group and how they relate to the overall financials
Help drive monthly and quarterly review sessions at various management levels
Ensure timetable and deliverable schedules are understood and communicated to the team and Senior Business Managers
Organize required reporting for business review sessions
Define and articulate action plans, owners and deadlines
Technology Business Management (COO/CAO type)and strong Financial Management Background
Exceptional presentation skills –
Strong Excel and excellent PowerPoint skills are critical
Strategic and independent thinker with a proven ability to produce Executive level presentations requiring minimal direction
Self starter and proactive client focused and delivery driven candidate
Business Process re-engineering and Change Management skills with an acute ability to identify process gaps and propose new Operating Models
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to articulate complex issues concisely
Leadership, relationship-building and influencing skills to drive agenda’s across a number of functions and initiatives
Strong Delivery Program, Project & Milestone Management experience
Experience with Finance, Accounting, Program/Portfolio Management, managing large scale productivity initiatives
