The primary responsibilities of the Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Supervisor are teaching, supervision and evaluation of students performing diagnostic and treatment services in the speech-language pathology program. Direct clinical services to the community are also provided by the supervisor on a twelve month basis. Functions under the direct supervision of the Director of Clinical Instruction and speech- language pathology services or a designated representative. Exercises supervision over student employees as assigned.
Master’s degree, ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence: Speech- Language Pathology ( CCC - SLP )
At least 3 years of professional experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
3 years experience in the clinical supervision of speech-language pathology students
Clinical supervisory experience
Expertise in a range of communication disorders, with interest in pediatrics preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Demonstrated ability to maintain positive interpersonal relations
Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical teaching and supervision of undergraduate and graduate speech- language pathology students, evaluation of and treatment of clients and subsequent follow-up.
Coordination/supervision of students at off campus sites.
Provision of support services to school personnel.
Teaching either CDO 494, 495 or 749 or other academic courses assigned.
Attending university/college/department/division meetings as appropriate.
