Stonington Institute began serving recovering
alcoholics in 1957 as Starlight Farms, a working farm where adults in
recovery were introduced to the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous.
Today, we are the longest continually operating, free-standing,
voluntary treatment facility in New England. Our main campus is
located in North Stonington, CT, in its original private and peaceful
rural setting. We have additional clinical sites in Groton, CT.
Transportation and off-campus housing assistance make our programs
and services accessible to a statewide clientele. Those programs
include: medical detoxification, rehabilitation/residential
treatment, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient treatment
(both day and evening), ambulatory detoxification, and residential
substance abuse treatment for military servicemembers and their
dependents. The Institute accepts private insurance, state-funded
plans and self pay arrangements.
Coordinator coordinates the clinical services offered within the
Starlight military rehab program, ensuring compliance with program
goals, regulatory requirements and organizational best practice
through record audits, staff supervision and program monitoring.
Provides direct care that is specific to each client’s needs,
and assures that each client is at the appropriate level of
care. Reports the Clinical Director.
CT licensure required (LPC, LADC,
LCSW). Experience supervising clinical staff strongly
desired, as is a strong administrative skill set.
Residential experience preferred, as is military background or
experience working with the military population.
