Under minimal supervision, the clinical dietitian is responsible for the development of nutrition care plans, including nutrition assessment and reassessment, education, implementation of nutrition care, and documentation for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. The clinical dietitian also educates personnel, students, and the community regarding nutrition for optimal health. Job responsibilities also include the development and revision of educational materials, education and training of dietetic technicians and dietetic interns, and participation in medical team activities. Will act as a positive role model and representative of the Food and Nutrition Services Department to all staff, customers and community. Other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Food and Nutrition or Dietetics is required.
Current Registered Dietitian or registry eligible required. Current Registered Dietitian must also be a State of Wisconsin Certified Dietitian within three months of the date of hire or transfer. If registry eligible, must become a Registered Dietitian within six months of the date of hire or transfer and become a State of Wisconsin Certified Dietitian within three months after obtaining registration.
Effective oral and written communication skills required. Must have a thorough knowledge of normal and therapeutic nutrition. Ability to operate the CBORD program.
