Performs the work of a CNA I within the scope of practice. Work involves personal care, home management tasks and supportive service in the home of the client and under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. Work is performed in client's home which may not always be an ideal healthcare setting and may involve interaction with family and/or pets; inclement weather; poor road conditions; unstable clients; communicable disease; etc.
Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Program with current listing with NC Department of Facility Services as CNA I. Proof of current automobile liability insurance and current NC Drivers License. Successful completion of BCLS, Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills required for competency in all levels of tasks performed. Must have reliable means for transportation at all times. Must work well with other employees as well as client and their families. Must maintain high standards of personal conduct and integrity both on and off the job. Act as an advocate for the elderly and disabled. Reports observations regarding client's status of appropriate person. Maintains annual 12 hours of CNA training for Home Health. One-year experience preferred.
