Completed State certified nursing assistant II program and listed with the Board of Nursing and Division of Facility Services. Participates in educational conferences, completes education in-service, and updates and maintains professional knowledge and skills related to areas of practice. Has received certification as Nurse Aide I; is registered with the DFS, Nurse Aide Central Registry; can provide a copy of in-date licensure.
Under the direction and supervision of the RN, administers direct patient care services to selected patients in a manner conducive to their safety and comfort; facilitates the work of the MD, RN, and/or LPN; reports all pertinent information to the RN; maintains accurate and complete information. Supervision is provided by the RN. Demonstrates knowledge of basic nursing theory and practice; demonstrates good understanding of the nursing department's policies and procedures; CPR, Infection Control, Safety, Hazardous Material Policies; practices in a safe, effective manner. The licensed nurse maintains accountability and responsibility for the delivery of safe and competent care.
