Job Purpose: The technical trainer provides technical training to all employees within Technical Support, Field Operations and Operations and Installations. The technical trainer will design and implement technical materials to include instructor led training, webinars and computer based training. The technical trainer will facilitate labs on SCP, DCB, KM and DCM platforms and how to troubleshoot in regards to software and hardware in use by our customers. Principal Accountabilities: Responsible for the development and implementation of training on all platforms, networks, software and hardware, including SCP, DCB, KM, DCM (x86), Q-Nex (Unix/Linux) and Windows applications Administer technical labs, webinars, classroom training and CBTs Responsible for the development and training of successive approximation troubleshooting techniques (network, data, telecomm and electrical) that will enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of employees Provide ongoing training on the job as required, including mentoring and coaching to operations when requested and needed Manage the classroom in an effective and efficient manner by addressing performance issues and any possible conflicts that could cause a disruption Observe classroom participation and solicit feedback from associates to build trust, confidence and foster an environment for open discussion by creating an avenue for associates to know that their beliefs and opinions are valued Responsible for updating training documentation on new processes, improvements and notifying the appropriate parties of the changes. Qualifications: 3 - 5 years experience in the Telecommunications Industry At least 3 years of Technical Training Experience Proven knowledge of the SCP Platform Knowledge of DCB, KM and DCM a plus Instructional Design of technical training materials (CBTs, Instructor Led and Webinars) Experience with Client Class 5ess Experience with VO Networking Education: Bachelors degree Certifications in A+, N+, MCSE and CCNA a plus
