We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the role of CNC Technician - Laser. The position will work 2nd shift hours (2pm-12:30am) Monday through Thursday and is available immediately. You may be asked to train on a different shift for a period of time. Essential functions of this position include the following:
  • Performs tasks related to the safe operation of multiple CNC laser machines in a fast paced metal fabrication facility.
  • Follows daily production schedule to meet internal and external customer requirements.
  • Monitors process using quality tools to ensure conformance of products, inclduing following work instructions, prints, and other documents
  • Generates basic part programs using computer software
  • Maintains customer quality control records and charts
  • Follows scheduled maintenance plans for all equipment
  • Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained
  • Follows all safety rules
  • Maintains records as required by QMS
  • Works with others as required in a team based work environment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, and perform all job tasks based on the blueprint information and/or manufacturing work order.
  • Identify and communicate suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Work effectively with immediate supervisor to identify and resolve productivity issues.
  • Follows scheduled maintenance plans for all equipment
Qualified candidates will have hands-on machine operation experience working in a manufacturing environment, CNC experience preferred. Other qualifications include:
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints
  • Ability to use quality measurement tools
  • Math skills (algebra or higher)
  • proficiency using Windows-based computer programs; CAD experience a plus
  • Strong work ethic
  • Detail oriented mindset
