Oversees and manages assigned Continuing Medical Education (CME) Regularly Scheduled Series (RSSs) at The Methodist Hospital System.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILTIES
' Oversee assigned CME RSSs in accordance with TMHS policies and Business Practices, and ACCME guidelines and policies. RSS oversight includes but is not limited to (EF):
' Adherence to approved CME application
' Audit of RSS session packets for compliance
' Oversee educational grants as applicable
' Ongoing RSS compliance tracking
' Database entry
' Annual compliance reporting
' Biannual evaluation development and implementation
' Coordinate and plan individual RSS sessions as assigned
' Support of CME Office Coordinator for CME transcripts, database management, and customer service support (EF)
' Builds and maintains relationships with medical/executive leadership (E) and RSS coordinators (EF)
' Assists in identifying CME topics that tie to TMHS strategic plan (E)
' Assists in creating CME protocol and procedures (E)
' Oversees and executes all CME accreditation procedures (EF)
' Serve as additional onsite staff as assigned (EF)
' Demonstrates the components of the ICARE values statement.
' Demonstrates SERVICE PRIDE standards.
' Follows all safety rules while on the job. Reports accidents promptly and corrects minor hazards.
' Performs other duties as assigned.
Please note that role is grant funded and has an approximate end date of October 2015.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
' 1-3 years of related experience
' Understanding of ACCME guidelines and policies
' Understanding of CME processes
' Previous experience in healthcare environment and CME related position preferred
