High school diploma or GED. Six months of custodial experience. Knowledge of custodial materials, methods, practices and procedures. Knowledge of equipment safety practices. Ability to operate custodial equipment. Ability to understand and carry out verbal and written instructions in English.
Sweeps, mops, strips, waxes, and polishes floors; dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures.
Vacuums rugs and carpets; shampoos carpet when necessary.
Cleans doors, windows, and walls.
Empties wastebaskets and trash.
Performs recycling; retrieves recyclable items from participating departments.
Cleans rest rooms; replenishes supplies when necessary.
Receives and transports shipments from the loading dock; records items on inventory.
Performs setup and takedown of tables and chairs; arranges conference rooms and building lobby special events; moves furniture.
Provides support to the maintenance mechanic staff; changes light bulbs; changes air filters; hangs pictures.
Performs routine grounds maintenance and landscaping around primary facilities.
Performs such other related duties as may be assigned.
Under immediate supervision, performs routine cleaning and janitorial duties for specific areas during an assigned day or evening work shift.
