Provides a variety of customer service and office administration duties related to the sale of products.
Provides a variety of customer service and office administration duties related to the sale of products: waiting on customers, assisting customers in determining order requirements, answering customer inquires, providing samples, providing direction/selection assistance, completing sales transactions, and accepting payments. Uses computer systems such as ASI, JDE, and PC’s.
Addresses and resolves customer complaints (returns and order errors).
Executes shipping and receiving activities for samples, merchandise and displays.
Performs various office administration duties such as processing payments and receipts, reconciliation of DSR’s and cash box, preparation of bank deposits, balance petty cash box, prepares various performance reports, updates customer master file and creates vendor orders. Produces daily sales reports.
May perform various product order duties such as entering customer orders, creating plant/RDC orders, and completing stock replenishment orders.
May perform warehouse duties as required.
Maintains accurate and detailed records to keep in compliance with company policies and procedures.
Maintains a safe working environment by obeying all safety rules as outlined in the Safety Program and by reporting all accidents, unsafe conditions and acts to Management.
Provides interior design consultation, tile and stone selection consultation/support for our wholesale customer as well as their clients. Provides key liaison with the Design community and Arch Reps.
Provides interior design consultation, tile and stone selection advice and support ensuring the completion of selection/sales for builders, designers and clients.
Creates and maintains tile and stone displays, and sample boards.
Creates and assists in creation of merchandising/marketing programs.
Manages product samples and displays based on knowledge of all product lines; manages samples supply and distribution.
Performs inventory stock checks as needed.
Provides key liaison assistance with the Design community and Architectural Representatives.
Trains and provides assistance to CSR’s.
Helps train / develop Showroom consultants on product knowledge as well as color / pattern coordination who may work in the Gallery on a full time or part time (i.e. every other Saturday) basis.
Executes daily office tasks and office administration.
Performs other duties as required.
Education and Knowledge: HS diploma or equivalent experience; Forklift Operator Certification required for warehouse duties.
Experience: 3 years customer service experience.
Competencies: Organization, math, time management, computer skills, detail oriented, customer service, and safety conscious.
