Under the general supervision of the Campaign Consultant in the Office of the Campaign for UC San Diego, the Campaign Coordinator provides analytic and writing support, provides management and execution of programs and tasks needed to support strategic campaign planning and fundraising efforts, working along with the Vice Chancellor's office in External & Business Affairs. Develops and provides campaign prospect analyses and reporting, and manages specific campaign projects to ensure successful and timely completion of the University's campaign to secure support for student scholarships, faculty and research endowment, academic priorities, and campaign projects. The Campaign Coordinator serves as point person in enhancing the campaign's systems, including its internal database, campaign benchmarking, pipeline development, and for tracking Major Gift Officers' prospect and donor portfolios. Incumbent also supports Health Sciences and General Campus Development in volunteer engagement and board relations related to the campaign. Incumbent also supports projects including the drafting and distribution of briefing and other documents for UC San Diego campus leadership, including but not limited to the Chancellor and the Executive Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs, the Vice Chancellor for External and Business Affairs, and internal and external communication strategies. Will also provide comparable, ongoing pivotal support for the planning and implementation of future campus-wide fundraising initiatives.

Proven experience developing new programs to broaden donor base and enhance institutional outreach. Ability to develop strategies and plans to identify and cultivate prospects and steward donors.
Experienced in the technique of donor prospect research, possessing the ability to extract the pertinent and critical information from various sources. Demonstrated skill in managing prospect tracking systems.
Knowledge of the dynamics of fundraising and the concepts of development. Proven success in organizing and implementing special events.
Excellent writing skills to prepare reports, summaries, correspondence, briefings, personalized letters, and other materials. Proven skill in developing fundraising and campaign reports.
Demonstrated success in recruiting and supervising volunteers. Proven excellent oral communication skills to clearly and effectively deal with people in conversation and at meetings.
Proven ability to supervise staff in accomplishing established goals and objectives and maintain office activities with respect to established procedures and guidelines.
Background check and valid CA driver's license required.
