American Express hires individuals into the Strategic Planning Group (“SPG”) as internal consultants to work oncritical business challenges and new business development issues facing the Company. Consultants in SPG gain exposure to numerous business units and have the opportunity to develop their core consulting and leadership skills through their project work. Afterapproximately two years, SPG consultants take on new roles in business units across American Express globally.
What would you do every day as a Senior Manager in Consulting at American Express?
o As part of project teams, provide high-level strategic counsel to top management and executives
o Analyze and manipulate data to develop frameworks and solutions to tackle key business issues
o Perform analysis and research to develop insights as part of a project team
o Provide thought leadership and partner with business unit clients to develop and present implementable solutions
