Live your dream…..join the Research team !!Under the general supervision of the Cardiology Nurse Manager, the cath lab/EP Technician in cooperation with the physicians and nursing personnel assists with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs or EP lab. Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of radiographic imaging, patient physiologic monitoring and cardiac arrhythmias recognition. Complies with principles of sterile technique. Collects and assembles data for database, outcome analysis and performance improvement.
Responsible to carry out any other activities assigned by the Cardiology Nurse Manager to assure the department runs effectively and efficiently. Responds within 30 minutes when on stand by and able to assist at other system Cath lab as needed.Minimum Requirements:Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive cardiology-training program required. One year experience in Cath lab may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program or invasive cardiovascular technician training.Knowledge/Professional Licensure/Registration/Certifications: Current BCLS Certification required and maintained. ACLS Certification preferred.
ARRT or CCVT registration or registry eligible preferred.Experience: One year experience in Cath lab may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program or invasive cardiovascular technician training. Management Experience: N/AAdministrative Skills: N/AEquipment/Machine Skills: Basic equipment and machine skills preferred Other Skills: N/APreferred Skills: Knowledge of cardiac anatomy & physiology. Able to complete at six months a hemodynamic test and arrhythmia recognition test. Computer data entry.
