This position is located in Serra Mesa.
10-hour shift; 8:00 am - 6:30 pm
- BSN preferred
- Current unencumbered California Registered Nurse licensure required
- Minimum of five years recent NICU RN clinical experience required
- One year NICU Case Management/discharge planning experience preferred
- CCM preferred
- Multi-tasking, functions independently and as part of a team
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with patients, family interdisciplinary team
Works closely with patients, families, interdisciplinary team, outside vendors, and insurance companies to facilitate safe transition from acute care to home or alternate level of care.
This position is for a RN Case Manager at Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns. The Case Management department covers the antepartum, perinatal, OB/GYN, Women’s Surgical and/or Nursery areas at Sharp Mary Birch. The Case Management team works with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, including Health Plans to facilitate the transition of care between outpatient and inpatient status for patients at Sharp Mary Birch.
Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women and Newborns is a nationally recognized, full-service Women's Hospital with approximately 8,500 deliveries per year and is part of the Sharp HealthCare system, which won the 2007 Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award.
Located in San Diego, it is nationally recognized for its care of expectant mothers and delivering babies, as well as its Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit – the largest in Southern California.
