Position Description

Position: Case Manager - San Antonio Campus

Assignment: ICS Emergency Shelter - San Antonio, Texas

Reports to: Lead Case Manager

Status: Exempt Full Time

Pay Grade: TBD

Supervises: As assigned by Supervisor

Critical Action Items:
Responsible for coordinating case management services including the management and supervision of childrens professional services.
Execute effectively responsibilities assigned in coordination with maintaining compliance of established organizational, State and Federal policies and procedures utilizing sound professional judgment.

Measurable Deliverables:
Coordinate with United States Border Patrol agent placement of the Unaccompanied Alien Children (UACs)
Complete Case Management Tracking for each assigned UAC.
Contact prospective sponsor to discuss role of BCFS and reunification process.
Ensure sponsor information is included in family reunification packet.
Attend weekly case staffing meeting with Division of Unaccompanied Childrens Services (DUCS) field coordinator and follow-up with DFC recommendations.
Meet with each assigned UAC weekly and additional meeting as requested by UAC.
Review completed family reunification packets for accuracy.
Follow up with sponsor to discuss any issue identified in review of family reunification packet.
Complete Release Request Worksheet, Case History (if applicable) and Verification of Release Forms. Submit to DFC along with copy of Family Reunification Packet.
Receive approved Interim Verification Release Form. Review with child and obtain his/her signature.
Prepare Sponsors for successful completion of Changes of Address, Changes of Venue form. Obtain necessary signatures. Forward original document to Executive Office of Immigration Review (EOIR) and forward copy to DHS (Department of Homeland Security).
Complete and submit notice to EOIR form when Contractor issues approved release for child.
Assist children during departure, as needed.
Prepare, compile, submit, and maintain accurate records, files, forms, statistics, and additional relevant information in accord with agency policy, licensing and/or funding requirements.
Review and sign off on client records in accordance with licensing, and contract standards.\ Participate in planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating designated social service program(s).
Participate in workshops, seminars, education programs and other activities that promote professional growth and development.
Serve as Liaison with Consulates of UAC in care.
Driving and some travel required.

Other Responsibilities:
Other job duties as assigned.

Education:
Bachelors degree in Behavioral Science, Human Services, or Social Services fields and at least one (1) year of progressive employment experience in the aforementioned fields that demonstrates supervisory and case management experience preferred.

Experience:
Professional license in Behavioral Science, Human Services or Social Services strongly preferred. Child welfare experience strongly preferred.

Requirements:
Possess excellent interpersonal skills, as well as, organizational and planning skills.
Possess sensitivity to the service populations cultural and socio-economic characteristics.
Must possess a valid drivers license and have an excellent driving record.
Must be bilingual English/Spanish
Pass a criminal background check
