Responsible for managing the Lighting Product Category with specific focus on driving share gains and improving profitability.
  • Negotiate supplier terms and conditions annually and drive measurable improvement.
  • Develop marketing and sales strategies to improve category share.
  • Support field operations to maximize inventory effectiveness and improve trade working capital metrics.
  • Analyze and understand market levels and implement programs to ensure system costs and related sell prices are in line and capable of improving sales and margin.
  • Work with key suppliers to identify supply chain efficiencies and drive network to compliance
  • Develop marketing/promotional plans to support overall category development strategy.
  • Requirements:
    • Understand market dynamics and drive the most effective supplier alignment. Key factors - supplier positioning, core manufacturing capability, commitment to developing new products and strong focus on distribution channel as a primary route to market.
    • Understand related product and services to core category implement complimentary strategies to achieve objectives.
    Qualifications:
    • Bachelors degree in sales, marketing or other related business field is required,
    • Practical experience within the electrical supply distribution industry a plus.
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Strong analytical skills.
    Language Skills:
    Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to effectively communicate with customers and staff to make an accurate assessment of customer and branch needs.

    Mathematical Skills:
    Ability to verify and calculate figures such as cost, commissions, credit, rebate and profit, understand and interpret financial data and reports and balance sheets.

    Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form. Ability to use sound judgment and problem solving skills to analyze customer, branch and employee problems and to recommend the proper course of action. Ability to organize and prioritize job projects and requirements.
