The Social Catering Manager is responsible for all aspects of planning and managing all wedding and social events.
Solicit, negotiate and book new and repeat business through efforts of outside sales calls, telemarketing, mailings, and networking, while maximizing banquet space to meet/exceed revenue goals.
Plan, upsell and detail the meeting/function with the client including: space requirements, times, equipment, menus, themes/decorations. Complete contracts, prepare the appropriate paperwork, coordinate with the appropriate areas in the hotel, and resolve any issues, complaints, and problems to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction.
Meet with and entertain customers, conducts property tours, and promote facilities and services.
Execute a territorial marketing strategy to capture the maximum amount of revenue and meet/exceed sales goals.
Develop customer menus, drafts contracts and letters, as well as organizes all other arrangements as they relate to weddings and social events.
Minimum of 2 years in the hotel industry with a strong background in Social Catering Sales.
Must be experienced in planning events, up selling, and detailing a meeting/function with all clients.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Experience in Delphi is helpful. EOE/AA
