Regular Shift and Salary Grade Shift: 8-5

Salary Grade: 7 Position Summary Knowledge
Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is knowledge of managed care industry. This includes an insurance company¿s role as a claims payor or a claims administrator, and their related utilization review process. Also required is knowledge of indemnity coverage plans and government resources, specifically Medicaid and CSHCN.

Skills
Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is the ability to predict outcomes based on existing processes and/or checks and balances, the ability to use a networked personal computer that facilitates access to the Hospital=s main frame system, office software, and modem-based query software for verification of insurance benefits, and the ability to demonstrate self-initiated work behaviors, good verbal communication skills, and excellent customer service skills.

Formal Education and Experience
The formal education normally associated with completely satisfactory performance in this job is a high school diploma or equivalent (a Bachelor¿s degree is preferred). A minimum of two years of related experience is required.
