Position Purpose:
Develops ceramic mix formulas and production schedules for core production. Maintains a quality information flow throughout the production process. Control raw material flow.

General Responsibilities:
Developing process programs in the fields of ceramic finishing and blending Ceramic material production schedules Issuing daily ceramic formulations for production batches Ceramic raw materials, quality, and inventory control In conjunction with Lab/Engineering, develop ceramic mix and component materials Establishing and maintaining a good ceramic material feedback loop between injection, processing, and finishing to improve final core/casting quality Working with other facilities to meet Engineering needs Hands on approach for identifying and eliminating process inefficiencies and constraints using various data analysis techniques (TOC, SPC, DOE, 6 Sigma, etc.) Work with plant operations to implement permanent corrective actions to sustain improvements Timely response to concerns by maintaining shop floor presence Manage new job start-ups, minimizing transition time Improve labor utilization through time study methods Maintain procedural compliance Document work procedures and processes Work closely with other departments to ensure organization objectives are achieved Maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner Other duties as assigned Position Purpose:

Respirator Training for affected employees Respirator Fit Testing for affected employees Confined Space Training for affected employees Participate in training as required

Required Skills

Communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent organizational, interpersonal and documentation skills Proven success in process improvements using mathematical and statistical problem-solving techniques to identify process variations in manufacturing with many independent variables The successful candidate’s career will show increasing levels of responsibility Assertive, energetic, self-starting, risk-taker with the ability to break through barriers and paradigms for out-of-the-box, data driven problem solving techniques

Required Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in engineering field, preferably ceramic engineering Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
