Sencha is looking for a Certification Program Manager / Curriculum Developer with excellent training, certification, and web development skills. This person will develop compelling technical training and certification programs that enable certification of Sencha developers, trainers, and partners. This will include developing courses, on-line training, and certification programs on Ext JS Development, Sencha Touch, and possibly Ext GWT.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead, develop, and implement technical certification programs for Sencha developers, trainers, and partners.
Design, develop, and deliver high quality technical courses to software developer audiences covering web and mobile application development using Sencha products such as Sencha Touch, Ext JS, Ext GWT, and Sencha Architect.
Provide feedback on product features and priorities to the Sencha product management and engineering teams.
Develop sample applications, proofs-of-concept, and demonstrations to show the clear value of Sencha products, for training purposes.
Assist the Sencha marketing team by writing occasional blogs and technical articles and through delivering technical presentations at conferences.
Drive the overall Sencha technical curriculum plan.
Operate independently; communicating with customers, partners, engineers and product managers.
Manage curriculum and certification developers including partners and vendors.
Drive curriculum and certification QA programs.
ESSENTIAL EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
A bachelor’s degree is required – with a major in computer science or another technical discipline such as engineering preferred.
5 years developing and delivering technical training curriculum and certification programs for web and/or mobile application developers.
Successful track record in driving and developing technical development certification programs and tests.
Successful track record in development of online self-paced training programs using technologies like video, web applications, and podcasts.
Web and/or mobile application development experience.
Well-rounded individual, with demonstrated ability to operate independently in new environments.
Impressive technical foundation as well as a proven history of successful interaction with customers in technical education contexts.
Results-oriented with solid project management skills.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
Certification test development and program management experience.
Solid understanding of Rich Internet Applications, their business value, and how they’re built.
Mobile application development training experience is a plus.
Working knowledge of database architectures, SQL and ability to interpret ERDs and other relational specifications is useful.
Accountability and a strong customer service ethos are essential prerequisites for this critical role. An ability to achieve results while operating independently with minimal guidance is a must.
Excellent written & oral communication with strong presentation skills.
