The Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clinical duties to include support of the physician in providing quality medical care to patients. Duties include, but are not limited to the preparation of exam rooms, preparation of patients for exams, performing procedures, maintenance of accurate, legible patient documents and handling patient phone calls while maintaining compliance with confidentiality regulations. Must be organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. This position works in a fast-paced environment and requires flexibility with duties.
Job Qualifications:
High School Graduate or equivalent, graduate or a Medical Assistant and CMA or RMA required. 1-3 years experience in physician practice setting required. Family practice, Peds, OB/GYN physician practice experience a plus. Must be organized, detail oriented, and possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to meet the physical demands of an active position including extended duration of standing, walking and bending.
